The role reports to the R&D Principal Engineer and is located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Your responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of Lab manager or Lab Engineer in support of Product Development activities

• Perform general laboratory assignments such as sample preparation, data collection, comparative analysis, and investigative research in support of product development activities

• Monitor progress of assigned tasks while complying with quality and schedule requirements. Maintain detailed logs and records

• Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations, conduct analyses and provide related data and information

• Conduct relatively routine operations and tests, compile and assimilate data, and prepare reports / graphs / charts for presentation

Your background

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US, either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years completed

• Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US

• Completed a course in 3D modeling

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Good communication skills, quick learner, self-motivated with a high sense of urgency

• High mechanical aptitude with ability to use common hand tools
