About the role:

The R&D Field Clinical Engineer (FCE) serves as a technical expert to support optimization of patient outcomes in Spinal Cord Stimulation patients. The FCE will support execution of neuromodulation research projects and clinical studies. This position is part of the Program Optimization group and will work in collaboration with research scientists and other field clinical engineers.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Works as part of the SCS Program Optimization team to develop/enhance programming algorithms through exploratory research activities and observations from commercial field experience

  • Performs advanced SCS programming to provide improved pain therapy to patients

  • Analyzes programming reports to identify opportunities to enhance patient education and/or therapy optimization

  • Liaise with field teams to identify their clinical needs and constraints related to patient care

  • Prepare reports/presentations to convey learnings to internal team members

  • Strives to maintain an up-to-date and informed knowledge on SCS therapy

  • This role will require significant travel (50-70%)

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

In order to fill these duties, the candidate would have:

  • Must have a solid science background and a corresponding Bachelor of Science degree, preferably within either the biosciences or electrical engineering (and more preferably a background in both)

  • 2+ years of related work experience

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated by relevant previous experience

  • Previous experience dealing with customers and representing the technical side of a company is desirable

  • Previous medical device experience is desirable

About the role: The Business Process Analyst acts as a business partner and reports directly to the UroPH Project Management Office (PMO) with direction and alignment to the divisional Finance team. He/she is responsible for cross-functional resource planning aligned to division portfolio priorities, including forecasting and reporting. He/she will maintain project master data and hierarchy for the division and owns tracking of Project Investment Board (PIB) contracts with communication to leadership on early signals for issues with cost or schedule. He/she will gain experience with financial modeling for R&D inch-up projects. He/she will interact with PMOs across several sites to enhance communication and help influence consistent best practices. In addition, this person will assist with the development of long range strategic plans including market model improvement interacting with various functions and create presentations for senior management. Your responsibilities include: * Lead resource planning, reporting and analysis to support project staffing needs, including communication with plants / supporting R&D sites, with consideration of division prioritization * Ownership of project hierarchy and master data (project creation in Project Home tool, security for time charging on projects, close out of projects) and consolidated product launch cadence * Support PPMS system entry, become subject matter expert on the tool, and work to improve usability; lead training sessions for PMs; serve as a member of the PPMS Review Board to provide feedback on functionality and share best practices with other division PMOs * Financial modeling for R&D inch-up projects (requires coordination between R&D and marketing, and understanding assumptions around build up of project operating expenses, capital investments, ASPs, volumes, COGS, cannibalization, etc.) * Develop reporting for PMO metrics and analysis of trends, as well as as any ad hoc support for internal customers (which may include Sr. Management) * Review compliance of project contracts on cost and schedule; communicate early signals on emerging issues with PMO director to address updates to PIB What we're looking for: Minimum Qualifications * 2+ years' experience in medical device industry with a BS in an Engineering discipline. * Experience with metrics development with SAP * Experience with establishing SharePoint Sites * Experience with financial dashboards, software systems, tools and templates * Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in technically demanding environment. Preferred Qualifications * Highly motivated individual that can independently drive deliverables to completion through collaboration among team members. * Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM), medical device design control / quality systems, and the product development process. * Medical Device experience.
