Description
The R&D Engineering Technician II is responsible for supporting R&D engineering initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities
Fabricate prototypes, develop manufacturing processes, and design fixtures.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
Aid engineering in equipment and tooling development and assembly.
Perform device and prototype assembly.
Train production on new processes.
Make suggestions for improvement and/or troubleshooting new and existing products.
Execute test protocols by performing inspections, functional tests, and destructive tests.
Initiate purchase orders.
Maintain an organized lab notebook.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
General knowledge of clean room procedures.
Minimum 2 years assembly and/or testing experience in medical device industry.
Computer skills including Excel, Word, and preferably some AutoCad and Solidworks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
