Position Objective

  • Improvement of existing water treatment technologies applying membrane separation and filtration technologies as well as adjacent upstream and downstream technologies.

  • Development of new water treatment technologies, separation media (membranes and filters) with improved performance criteria in the targeted applications and markets.

  • Validation of the process or media design to be compliant with the water treatment requirements

  • Ensure that developed technologies are in compliance with current and upcoming regulatory requirements

  • Consult other functions of the organization in all separation media and related process technology questions

Job Functions

  • Develop new and improve existing process technologies with existing separation membrane technologies considering chemistry in water treatment.

  • Improve existing membrane technologies to extend and improve their application

  • Work closely together with other institutions, i.e. Universities, suppliers, in the development of future separation membrane technology for water and waste water treatment and attend qualification audits

  • Plan, execute and evaluate performance and resistance tests on existing and new membranes

  • Execute detailed investigation on filtration membranes coming back from the field and create final analytical reports

  • Work closely together with other functions in the organization to act as consultant in all membrane and process technologies related questions, Work closely with Applications, Global Process Engineering and Engineering Managers to define Process, P&ID, FDS Standards for the products offered to the market

  • Support Commissioning Engineers and Service from Process point of view and troubleshooting during and after commissioning

  • Analyze membrane and filter autopsy result and prepare reports for the customers

  • Support monitoring systems performance (remote or locally) and support smart control algorithms providing membrane, filtration and separation physics and chemistry

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

  • 5 years engineering experience with the engineering of automated fluid systems; specifically in waste water, industrial feed water and drinking water processing.
