What you will enjoy doing*
You will engage and collaborate with Linde's regional businesses, global customers, OEMs, and suppliers to develop and commercialize new materials, purification technologies, delivery systems and packaging solutions for its use in the Electronics specialty gases and advanced materials market
You will lead projects for new product development from concept to commercialization
Design experimental apparatus, plan, run, and/or direct execution of experiments, conduct data analysis, and create efficient presentations for communicating technical results
Become an internal technical expert in the field of relevant semiconductor materials
Maintain alignment with development partners, commercial team and customers through all stages of technology development
Actively participate in external technical collaborations to identify opportunities for new products and/or development programs
You will also prepare invention disclosures and develop Linde intellectual property
What makes you great
You will have a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or related technology field, or a Masters degree and 3+ years relevant experience
You will possess fundamental knowledge of physics and chemistry of gas-gas and gas-surface interactions
Experience with modeling of chemical and physical processes in Aspen, UniSim, or other process simulation software
Hands-on experience with handling of hazardous materials in R&D setting, including analysis of gases and liquids
3+ years of new product development experience utilizing specialty gases / precursors in the semiconductor or related industry is preferred
Demonstrated success in modeling chemical reactions, distillation, or gas purification is preferred
Demonstrated success in new product development and deployment utilizing a stage-gate process is preferred
Custom vacuum and/or high-pressure system design, build, or maintenance is preferred
Operation of GC-MS, GC-TCD, FTIR, MS, UV-Vis, or other analytical methods is preferred
Method development is also preferred

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000.
