We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technologist to support custom ground equipment, and flight vehicle test and integration. You will need to support the fabrication, assembly, and installation of avionics and ground support hardware through the test and integration process. You must have the ability to assemble and maintain portable rack-based equipment systems that may contain sensitive hardware like computers and power supplies. You will also need to be adept with basic hand tools and demonstrate the ability to assemble and fabricate to written or verbal instructions. You should have familiarity with the use of handheld and computer-based data acquisitions systems to assess the fidelity of flight avionics, support equipment, and missile hardware in support of prototype development flight testing. You will need an understanding of the core explosives safety principals and mitigations. Experience with avionics subsystems is highly desired, however advanced experience/training with other vehicle systems may also be considered. Vehicle systems may include; low voltage power, telemetry and communications, capacitive firing systems, navigation, guidance, control systems, flight safety systems, etc. You may need to travel to support program interactions, system integration activities and flight testing at remote test facilities.
Qualifications We Require
You have an Associate degree (or higher) in Electromechanical Technology (or similar); or demonstrated 4 years of experience in lieu of the degree
Your background contains experience with Electronic Equipment, Common tools, Avionics or Other Vehicle Systems Testing and Diagnostics
Your experience includes integration, troubleshooting, and testing of complex assemblies
Your skillset includes experience with data acquisitions systems to include assembly and test execution
You possess experience with Design Definition, Configuration Management, Requirements development and tracking
You have experience with computer systems and common software tools, proficiency with MS Office, and an understanding of DC instrumentation and controls for low voltage systems
You have at least a DOE L clearance, or DOD equivalent
