Candidates applying on this requisition may be interviewed and/or hired into one of several organizations at Sandia National Laboratories.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Develop & deliver new web-based & cloud native capabilities to customers across the Nuclear Security Enterprise
Support the creation of a Digital Engineering Ecosystem for the Nuclear Security Enterprise
Use data analytic and data visualization tools to develop graphical representations of authoritative data
Work on hard-working, agile teams focusing on delivering the most valuable outputs in line with customer priorities
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 25-50% of the time.
Qualifications We Require
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, plus 5 years related engineering or scientific experience; or a Master's degree in above, plus 1 year related engineering or scientific experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
Experience in software design and development
Experience in Java, C++, and/or Python
The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire
Experience with some of the following:
Software engineering leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Azure Stack
Agile software development and DevOps and DevSecOps technologies & processes
OIDC/OAuth2 standards and implementations
Developing software & data intensive systems for classified networks
Working in cross NSE (Nuclear Security Enterprise) teams to make progress on strategic or technical initiatives
Data analytics and machine learning
