About the role

As a Category Associate, your expertise will crucially support the growth and stability of our product portfolio. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of a vibrant cross-functional team, driving innovation and ensuring excellence in everything we develop. Your responsibilities

  • Conduct required tests (e.g. AOAC, ASTM, CEN) to evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of disinfectant and personal care prototypes for the purpose of product registration.

  • Perform appropriate procedures and maintain laboratory records in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice standards.

  • Propagate and maintain appropriate microbial stocks; Maintain, monitor, validate and calibrate laboratory equipment as necessary; Author, edit and maintain Standard Operating Procedures

  • Prepare reports on the progress and completion of testing.

  • Present to peers, stakeholders, and upper management where necessary.

  • Act as micro project lead and support the product development teams by providing Microbiological expertise and insights.

  • Research and develop new antimicrobial test methods and claims that are consumer relevant and drive sales.

  • Support senior scientists with special projects as needed.

The experience we're looking for

  • BS/BA degree in a related science and 6 years of experience

  • Excellent aseptic technique and strong familiarity with a Microbiology lab environment.

  • Experience in an industrial setting is desirable.

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Organizational skills and problem-solving skills.

  • Written communication skills for accurate data entry and concise lab reports.

  • Timely execution of multiple project objectives within established timelines.

  • Self-motivated, seeking information from others to accomplish objectives.

  • Ability to display a degree of flexibility regarding changing project priorities.

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Knowledge with MSOffice Software applications.

US salary ranges

USD $75,000.00 - $125,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
