Job Summary

Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations.


  • Receive, verify and inventory incoming test and control articles, tissues, blocks and slides. (May include: providing test and control article data sheets to clients for completion upon receipt of antibodies to ensure accuracy of critical study information).

  • May contact clients to resolve basic study related inquiries.

  • Determine appropriate storage conditions for all incoming samples with guidance.

  • Prepare study materials for shipment according to Standard Operating Procedures and Federal Shipping Regulations as they apply to FedEx and UPS services, or courier for domestic and international shipments.

  • Retrieve study materials as needed from RCS or Long Term Archive.

  • Maintain appropriate documentation to demonstrate positive control of study-related materials with guidance.

  • Prepare for shipping and transport study materials from other internal laboratories or client facilities.

  • Review documentation of functions performed as part of quality control requirements.

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.


  • Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D or equivalent) in inventory control or related discipline.

  • Experience: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

  • Other: Basic computer skills. Good organizational, oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


  • Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

  • Must be able to lift, move, manipulate, and/or hold heavy objects up to and including 50 lbs. This includes work materials, equipment, and/or supplies while reaching, bending, stooping, or climbing stairs.

This job requires a standard level of knowledge on the OSI model, IPv4, IPv6, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and AAA. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Wifi Programming Tech actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Develops configurations deployed in Charter's customers' network gear and can provide technical assistance to the technicians programming the equipment in the field. Develops template configurations for each product type that is deployed in the field by Charter and our customers. Programs and tests all equipment and gear prior to deployment to a customer premise. Develops test case scenarios for Enterprise and MDU configurations. Provides the highest levels of professionalism, service and solutions support. Provides basic support and guidance to other departments as necessary to drive improvements and resolve troubles in our customers' networks. Performs other duties as required and assigned.
