  • Assist in obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations to ensure managed care compliance for all new referrals and admissions; verify information is correct.

  • Liaise appropriately with supervisor to communicate all obstacles, regulatory challenges and system deficiencies that the team faces.

  • Ensure the team maintains a daily focus on attaining productivity standards, recommending new approaches for enhancing performance and productivity when appropriate.

  • Oversee to ensure information gathered is entered into the computer system in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Serve as trainer/preceptor and as a resource to registrars and all Financial Clearance staff members.

  • Monitor and direct patient registration and Financial Clearance processes for assigned areas and regions.

  • Assist team members to resolve problems proactively and maximize reimbursement; identify and report common problems and trends to management.

  • Daily focus on attaining productivity standards, recommending new approaches for enhancing performance and productivity when appropriate.

  • Adhere to provider organizational policies and procedures for relevant location and job scope.

  • Complete and/or attend mandatory training and education sessions within approved organizational guidelines and timeframes.

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) previous years of related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, preferably within a registration and financial clearance experience.

  • Understanding of Medical Terminology and clinical docum

Responsible for ensuring Commercial and Managed Medicaid accounts are authorized appropriately and ensure integrity of accounts for Billing & Collections. * Has comprehensive knowledge and oversight of Commercial Insurance, Medicare, and Managed Medicaid authorizations and Billing & Collection functions. * Oversees and coordinates the function and workflow of the Managed Care Department. * Responsible for timely reporting to department management. * Trains all new Managed Care Coordinators on VX, eSolutions, State Web Portals and Managed Care process and work flow. * Assists management in assuming or re-assigning additional workloads during peak times or PTO of other staff. * Responsible for oversight of dash 0's * Assists Manager in oversight of high dollar Commercial and Managed Medicaid accounts by payer. * Ensures all staff follows process for verification and authorization per department protocol. * Chart audits to ensure compliance, accuracy and integrity of accounts for billing and collections purposes. * Analyze and maintain required reference material for prompt and accurate verification of benefits and authorization process. * Review Billing and Collections reports for unbilled claims for Commercial and Managed Medicaid for authorization delays. * Recommend and forward uncollectible accounts to manager for final review. * Supervises a staff of currently 17 FTEs and 1 PTE responsible for the first line of verification of benefits and securing authorizations for Commercial Insurance accounts and Managed Medicaid recipients for all levels of care. * Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow * Issues written and oral instructions * Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates * Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances * Observes and evaluates employees and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service is met * Makes recommendations regarding personnel actions such as new hire requests and discharges, to ensure proper staffing * Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates * Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required Benefits Include * Competitive compensation * Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance * Pre-tax healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts * Life insurance * 401(k) plan with numerous investment options and generous company match * Cancer and/or critical illness benefit * Tuition Reimbursement * Paid Time Off * Employee Assistance Program * Legal Insurance * Roadside Assistance * Affinity Program Qualifications * Four to six years prior eligibility/billing experience in Commercial Insurance, Medicare, Managed Medicaid eligibility requirements & billing. * Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. * Good math, typing and communication skills. * Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously. * Able to work in fast-paced environment Education * Bachelor's degree prefe Vitas Healthcare Miramar FL
