Manage all coil steel related activities from releasing to receipt and assist Receiving Supervisor with coil management. Responsible for proper handling, storage, packing, preservation and deliver of both material and product per control plans utilizing TS16949 & ISO14001 documented systems and authority to initiate appropriate action necessary to prevent non-conformance to customer specifications.
Manage and coordinate all coil steel activities to ensure all production requirements and proper inventory levels are met. Issue coil steel release requirements to suppliers.
System cycle counts as required.
Attend daily production meetings.
Coordinate and schedule all in-bound coil deliveries.
Monitor and measure supplier delivery performance.
Assist Receiving Supervisor with in-bound coil deliveries.
Housekeeping and other duties as required.
Support and comply with all TS16949 & ISO 14001 procedures and work instructions.
Support a safe and healthful work environment.
Cooperate with all local, state and federal agencies such as OSHA or the EPA in the event of an inspection
BA/BS required. 3-5 years Material planning-releasing in an automotive Tier 1 environment.
At least 2 years of coil steel planning or purchasing experience.
Knowledge and experience of a production metal stamping facility.
Experience in scheduling.
Preferred technical education including APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society), MRP or MRP II (Material Release Point) system implementation.
Logistics experience preferred.
Individual must observe all safety regulations to insure own and others' safety;
Ability to read, write, and speak English;
Ability to access data stored on computer, LAN and PC (personal computer) applications.
Good, simple math skills required. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with limited supervision and to accomplish tasks on a timely basis.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to move throughout the plant.
Extended sitting and standing; reaching and bending.
Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. may be required.
Loud work environment; compliance with personal protective equipment is required.

THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A 90-DAY INTRODUCTORY PERIOD AT THEIR NEWLY ASSIGNED POSITION
