Raw Materials Lead - D Crew (Building 5 Vpo)

Purpose/Primary Function:

The Raw Material Lead will work with the crew's leadership team to oversee an assigned area. The Raw Material Lead will ensure that individuals assigned to them are working safely and in a manner that supports our manufacturing beliefs. Additionally, the Raw Material Lead will monitor standard work and line targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Safety

• Promote safety awareness.

• Ensure employees are wearing their proper PPE and following procedures.

• Identify and communicate safety concerns.

Quality

• Ensure the assigned area is making a quality product.

• Posses the ability to troubleshoot quality issues and communicate findings.

Standard Work

• Assist leadership in driving a culture of accountability.

• Ensure standard work is being performed, 5S, health checks and operator responsibilities.

Delivery

• Monitor assigned area to ensure that targets are being met.

• Address any misses on targets and escalate to the proper individuals.

Communication

• Relay information as needed to different crews/departments.

• Provide constructive feedback to individuals assigned in their area as needed.

• Provide coaching when required.

• Share/Document best practices.

• Provide specific and focused recognition to team members.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

An Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge:

• A firm understanding of the manufacturing process.

• Technical knowledge that enables troubleshooting process and equipment.

Skills:

• Basic computer skills.

• Must be able to complete standard work in an accurate and timely manner (examples: shift paperwork, visual display boards, SQCD graphs, staffing placement, etc.).

Abilities:

• Must be an effective communicator with interpersonal skills.

• Must be safety conscious.

• Must be able to effectively prioritize.

Education/Experiences:

• Must currently be a PT2 or above.

• Must have a minimum of one years' experience within Trex Company, Inc.

• Must be in "good standing" with the company (attendance & performance).
