Duties:The officer will maintain security over the entire facility during his/her assigned shift being responsible for the safeguarding of casino assets and the protection of the company from known and anticipated threats. The officer is in constant observation of the employees and guests watching for any unlawful acts.
The officer will maintain surveillance over the Paddock and Apron areas to ensure that guests do not cross over the fence into areas that are restricted. This position is the first responder to emergency situations with the ability to use armed force when justified as necessary. Must be able to analyze situations & take action quickly.
High school diploma or equivalent, two years related experience and/or training required.
Previous law enforcement experience, military experience, or education in these fields preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record and must meet company insurance requirements. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to successfully pass the annual defensive tactics course. Must successfully qualify with all required weapons. Conviction of any felony offense will be an automatic disqualification. Must meet suitability standards as approved by the Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission (including suitability, physical/mental qualifications & weapons qualifications). Must be 21 years of age or older.
