This position is responsible to develop and operate the experimental fabrication capabilities and producibility of Metallic Parts and Assemblies to support the rapid prototyping organization. This position is based at Bell's Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive the build methodology and execution of Rapid Prototyping Metallic Components, parts and assemblies.

  • Collaborate with Technical Experts/Fellows, and Manufacturing Centers of excellence teams to ensure the alignment of Metallic Component Rapid Prototype Part build strategy.

  • Ensure new methods, procedures and processes are implemented into the Rapid Prototyping Process.

  • Collaborate & Support Suppliers and Partners to ensure methods, procedures and build meets the requirements of the Program Execution Plan

  • Responsible for producibility inputs and establishing leadership best method of manufacture for each part.

  • Establish and foster relationships with program and innovation teams (customers) to build trust and meet performance expectations.

  • Responsible for improvement of Metallic component build cycle time from project to project.

  • Responsible for reduction of Defects, rework or Design Changes

  • Working to optimize Cost strategy for build processes

  • Responsible for execution of Build to Plan for internal and External Supply Chain Source

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business is required

Position Requirements:

  • At least 7 years in aerospace or other technical fields with a background in Engineering and Manufacturing.

  • Experience & in-depth knowledge of Airframe/structural Design, Processes, Tooling & Manufacture

  • Experience in manufacture of Metallic Components and Assemblies

  • Experience using Catia V5/V6 & Enovia

  • In-field or MRB Experience, and SAP familiarity preferred
