Raiser's Edge Database Manager

Momentum seeks the talents and engagement of a Database Manager whose experience reflects mastery in the use of all modules and features of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and NXT CRM platforms. This individual brings an awareness of the importance of their role as integral to the fundraising process and critical to the collaborative dynamic of the development team.

Working under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Senior Director of Development, the Database Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of CRM database in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge full featured and NXT supporting all the organization's fund development initiatives, including the creation and maintenance of donor records, reporting and queries, prospect research, trending reports and target analytics, processing gift acknowledgments, managing action tracks, and providing general department support. This position is integral to all aspects of donor relations, data support for events, appeals, other development projects, and advancing the organization's mission. The position also coordinates and provides background support to Momentum's subsidiaries, Momentum WORK, Inc. and Momentum Wheels for Humanity. This position works from Momentum's corporate office in Thousand Oaks.

Database Manager Essential Responsibilities:

• Serves as lead administrator for Raiser's Edge (RE) database ensuring all constituent information, donations coded and tracked accurately and timely within RE database.

• Manages donor acknowledgment process to ensure donors are acknowledged within 3-5 business days from the date the gift was received. Prepares reports and documentation to deliver required information to auditors

• Conducts prospect research, creating donor profiles and tracking relationships of major donors, family foundations, board members, and Institutional funders.

• Maintains distribution lists and provides support for Momentum's electronic communication and postal communications.

• Creates and manages donor tracking systems (action tracks, dashboards, etc.) for donors at all giving levels.

• Provides data and support to the Senior Director of Development for fundraising team portfolio, development, maintenance, and management

• Collaborates on special events.

• Coordinates donor correspondence Including acknowledgements and stewardship mailings.

• Provides support for all individual giving and special event initiatives.

Database Manager Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree; preferred not required

• Mastery of the Blackbaud Raisers' Edge platform and functions with a minimum of two years of Raiser's Edge database experience

• SQL and MS-SQL experience; highly preferred

• Experience designing training sessions, creating training materials, and conducting training sessions on the use of databases, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Blackbaud products, and any related software

• Current and valid proof of legal right to drive in CA, vehicle insurance, and reliable means of transportation

• Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States

• Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds
