POSITION SUMMARY: The Radiology/CT Technologist is responsible for performing general radiological functions, which include fluoroscopy, portable x-rays, CT Scans, routine and trauma studies and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Radiology Manager. He/she is responsible for assisting in the assessing and planning for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient. He/she is responsible for assisting to assess the physiological, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs of patients and their families during the procedure in Radiology Department. The Technologist promotes and coordinates team work with physicians and team members and interfaces effectively with other departments. The Technologist will perform related duties as assigned or requested that are services necessary in maintaining the needs to the Radiology Department. He/she reports directly to the Radiology Manager.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology or one year experience and State of Georgia Radiation Safety Certification.
Current License or State of Georgia Radiographic Safety Certificate.
One year previous experience preferred.
Must possess good problem solving skills.
Ability to handle and operate equipment of the task assigned.
Ability to communicate intelligently and in a professional manner.
Must be dependable.
