Washington Regional Medical Center is looking for Radiology Techs.

The radiologist technologist performs imaging procedures in throughout the medical center and serves a variety of age groups including:

  • Neonates

  • Pediatrics

  • Adolescents

  • Adults

  • Geriatrics

Responsibilities

  • Performs imaging procedure following facility protocols

  • Provides quality images within as low as reasonable achievable radiation exposure

  • Supervises student technologists

Licensure

ARRT Registered with an AR State Licensure, or ARRT registry eligible with temporary AR state licensure.

Educational and Certification Requirements

  • BCLS certification required

  • Diploma or transcript required

Relocation assistance is available as well as many other comprehensive benefits.</p><p>Washington Regional's laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the world's leading provider of laboratory accreditation and proficiency testing programs.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Performs specimen processing functions in lab departments which may include centrifugation and aliquoting of specimens, gram staining and culture set-ups.</p></li><li><p>Performs CLIA waived and non-waived testing according to approved procedures and</p></li></ul><p>processes</p><ul><li><p>Identify and document problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and immediately correct the problem or notify supervisor, director, or medical director</p></li><li><p>Performs analyzer maintenance, calibration and quality control procedures</p></li><li><p>Assists with send out specimen processing</p></li><li><p>Performs troubleshooting and corrective action documentation and related procedures</p></li><li><p>Performs proficiency testing as needed for regulatory compliance</p></li><li><p>Completes and complies with competency requirements of the department</p></li><li><p>Works with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems and satisfy</p></li></ul><p>expectations to influence a positive outcome</p><ul><li><p>Assists with phlebotomy as needed</p></li><li><p>Assists with reagent and supplies inventory management as needed</p></li></ul><p>This position has exposures to body fluids and communicable diseases. This position must be able to determine color variations.
