Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our team!!

Radiology Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

  • Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center.

  • Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex Operating Room diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed physician.

  • Provides technical support for interventional radiographic examinations.

  • Completes established competencies for the position.

  • Operates imaging equipment, C-Arms, O-Arms, prepares examination rooms, and maintains equipment, supplies, and medications.

  • Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs throughout the patient care areas to include but not limited to: OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, and placements.

  • Assists practitioner with fluoroscopy, arthrography, and OR procedures.

  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.

  • Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.

  • Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.

  • Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.

  • Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Manager/Director.

  • Takes department call as assigned.

Required Skills:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology

  • Graduate of a 2-year accredited school of Radiology Technology

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate

  • Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License

  • Current BLS certification

Required Experience:

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological exams

  • Experience using C-Arms in an Operating room

  • Must possess independent decision-making skills

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects

  • Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families

  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way

  • Ability to utilize the Electronic Health Record for patient documentation
