Providence is calling a Radiology Technologist Non-Registered (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to Providence Health & Services in Olympia, WA.

We are seeking a Radiology Technician Non-Registered to provide quality care to patients. Perform Radiology exams proficiently to provide Radiologists with accurate information to reach an interpretation.

In this position you will:

  • Able to achieve proper density and contrast for radiographic and fluoroscopic studies. Includes selection of proper use of MAS and KVP, and use of proper collimation. Obtains high quality images.

  • Properly positions patient for radiographic and fluoroscopic studies. Includes following prescribed protocols as well as achieving proper positioning.

  • Understands and is able to operate all x-ray equipment within Diagnostic Imaging x-ray department. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to interpret radiology orders and takes steps to problem solve discrepant orders efficiently.

  • Properly protects patient and self from effects of radiation including use of proper collimation on all images, and use of protective equipment for patient and self. Uses ALARA principles and standards.

  • Marks patient studies appropriately including use of lead LT and RT initial markers on all images, and assures images are annotated with correct patient ID.

  • Demonstrates ability to critique quality of image in all areas before exam completion.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Currently enrolled in a two year certified community college/vocational training program.

  • WA State X-Ray Technician Registration

  • AHA BLS Basic Life Support.

  • One year clinical experience in Radiologic Technology, or equivalent

The Device Registered Nurse (RN) Specialist provides direct quality care for cardiac patients in an outpatient setting. Provides care according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. May require the RN to be responsible for the assessment, treatment of care of patients including adult and geriatric. RN must be competent to analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/ psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process. Accepts professional development as an integral part of nursing part of nursing practice. Coordinates patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship. Performs all duties in a manner that supports team concept, caring and respect, reflecting the philosophy of Providence Health and Services. In this position you will: * Assess and plan patient procedures-coordinating with patient, scheduling with cath lab and device companies * Evaluate and manage all implantable devices in the office with the use of company specific programmers. * Evaluate and manage device checks (i.e., pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders, Life Vests, holter and event monitors) done remotely via web based technology. * Data entry into electronic health record all pertinent information for new and returning patients. * Follow up and management of patient medications including refills via EHR qualifications Required qualifications for this position include: * Current RN license valid in the State of Washington, with graduation from an accredited nursing program * Current BLS certification Preferred qualifications for this position include: * 1 year electrophysiology experience * 1 year of experience in cardiac care * 1 year of device RN experience * Acute critical thinking and analytical skills About the clinic you will serve.
