Radiology Technologist Medical Assistant

Job Description Job Description PTR / Radiologic Technologist / MA We are looking for a Rad Tech to join our team at our Urgent Care In this position, you will play a key role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with facility policies, procedures and protocols, as well as Back Office duties as necessary.

Responsibilities: Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques Prepares patients for exam by taking vitals, symptoms, and other necessary measurements and recording chief complaint Performs setup, acquisition, and processing of prescribed chest and extremity radiographic procedures Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures which could include taking blood pressure and other vital signs, injections, phlebotomies, ear irrigation, and EKGs Maintains a clean and functional environment, including exam rooms and storage areas Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTR/ Radiology Technician in a comparable environment OR successful completion of a Radiology Technician certification program with externship experience Graduation from an Accredited Medical Assisting Program preferred Signing Bonus of $1000 after 90 days of work.
