Radiology Technologist Summary: Operate or oversee operation of radiologic equipment to produce images of the highest possible diagnostic quality at our Wausau, Merrill, Medford and Plover facilities. Review and evaluates images on computer generated information to determine if images are of diagnostic quality. As a member of the Bone & Joint team is responsible for following Bone & joint's Mission and Vision objectives (goals) through exceptional patient care and customer service. Hours vary Monday-Friday between 7am-7pm and Saturday 8-4:30pm (1 every 8-10 weeks). This is a .8 FTE position (32 hours/week).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Occasionally working in Surgery Center - Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate proper sterile technique and set up sterile field for provider (Quality)
Draw up medications
Open instruments
Operate C-Arm (Varic-Siemen, OEC-GE) (Service)
Operate both types (turn on/off)
Store properly
Utilize appropriate power cords
Send correct images to PACS
Prepare patient (iodine/chloroprep) (Service)
Understand where equipment/instruments/supplies are stored (Quality)
Ability to use Radiofrequency machine (Quality)
Operation
Recording of data for provider
Storage of supplies
Turn over rooms (Service)
Replace linen
Clean table and stand
Controlled substance waste with RN (Quality)
Assist nurse with patient as needed (People)
Education/Experience: Successful completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program and member is good standing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry or eligible. Current State of Wisconsin License, healthcare provider CPR certified.

Experience with an EMR and PACS
