We are searching for a Radiology Technologist PRN Under the general supervision of the Director of Imaging Services and the Radiology Coordinator, the Radiology Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services to patients according to physicians' orders. Provides for patient safety and high quality testing.
Essential Core Functions:
Performs routine roentgengraphic examinations and assists in procedures in other areas of the department.
Prepares barium sulfate solutions and administers them to patients according to physician orders.
Maintains current knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the Imaging Services Department including routine roentgen graphic procedures and fluoroscopy.
Possesses basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology required to apply principles of radiology and methods of exposure to obtain clearly defined films. Possesses basic knowledge of management techniques required to provide supervision for other radiology personnel related to position responsibilities.
Possesses basic knowledge of radiology equipment functioning to provide for minor repair and trouble-shooting for problems.
Possesses specialized knowledge of sterile technique and its application in the invasive procedures performed in the rad department.
Proficient in the utilization of all radiological equipment in the department.
Utilizes communication skills effectively in working with patients, physicians, and other personnel.
Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in moving and lifting patients and equipment to prevent injury to patients and to self.
Applies principles of radiology safety in the performance of position responsibilities.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide radiology services to patients served in relation to growth and development over the life span to identify their requirements relative to age-specific needs.

You should have:
Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiology Technology
Current registration with A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist)
Current BLS Certification
Previous experience in hospital environment preferred
