GHG is looking for a Radiology Technicianto provide services for the inmates housed at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Ashland, located in Ashland, KY.
Available Position: Radiology Technician
Place of Performance:Services will be performed on-site in the Health Services Department at the FCI Ashland located at State Route 716, Ashland, Kentucky, 41105.
Facility Information: The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Ashland is a low security institution housing male inmates with a satellite camp that houses minimum security inmates. The facility is located in the highlands of northeastern Kentucky, 125 miles east of Lexington and 5 miles southwest of Ashland.

Work Schedule:The contractor will normally work Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period. One (1) session will equal one (1) hour. The facility is expected to require an average of 6 sessions per day. The Radiology Technicians schedule shall not exceed 30 hours per week. The actual hours of work will be determined by the Health Services Administrator.
Period of Performance: 60 months, upon acceptable performance and all necessary state reviews and approvals.
Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to):
All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Radiology Technician Services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Joint Commission (JC) and American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions and Bureau of Prison policies. The contractors performance shall be monitored by the Contracting Officers Representative (COR). The contractor must be able to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds. The Clinical Director and/or Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Physician(s) will retain professional responsibility for all patients referred to radiology. The contractor shall provide the following Radiology Technician services which include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. Therefore, the contractor shall be capable of performing any and all radiology procedures needed without any technical support. Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by the medical staff for the inmate population at the institution. Transmit, retrieve X-ray images and reports electronically, and scan reports into inmates Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR). Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures. Work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds. Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs. Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special radiographic procedures. Schedule exams and maintain records. Possess knowledge of various pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by radiographic imaging. Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam. Receive patients and explain procedures to alleviate undue anxiety. Independently perform all radiographic procedures; i.e., chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable x-rays, etc. Notify Radiologist, or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities seen while patient is undergoing an exam, so that additional views, or exams can be ordered if needed. Coordinate transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure continuity of care.
Position Requirements/Qualifications
The contract employee shall be fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. The contractor shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association and have a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing Radiological Technician services. The contractor must possess and submit with their quotation, evidentiary documentation of their graduation from an accredited school of radiology technology. In the case of a company, the qualified individual selected to perform these services on behalf of the contractor must be identified at the time the quotation is submitted. Verification of credentials (state licensed if applicable federal licensed). Proof of Insurability Verify certification in CPR.

The successful contractor shall attend the Institution Familiarization Orientation program prior to assuming institution involvement. Assists Dental Officer in dental specialty sections: restorative, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthetics, and examinations. All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Dental Assistant Services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations.  The Dental Assistant must possess the ability to collect and track data and enter data into the agency’s electronic system and track scheduling of patient care and must have knowledge and experience in maintaining patient medical records and confidentiality.<br /> <br /> <strong>Position Requirements/Qualifications</strong><br /> The Dental Assistant shall possess specialty training from a licensed dentist and/or certification from an accredited Dental Assistant school. Training must include dental radiology and radiology safety. The Dental Assistant shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association and have a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing Dental Assistant services. Past correctional experience is desirable, but is not required. The contractor must specifically identify the individual that will be performing these services along with their quote. The candidate’s name and documents supporting their qualifications must accompany their quote (resume, photocopies of certificates and etc.)<br /> Attire: The contractor is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty (scrub uniforms are approved). The attire worn shall also be appropriate for the correctional environment in which the contract employee will be performing.
