• Friday 8 - 4:30 PM. The purpose of this role is to support the technologists during procedures to determine the best diagnosis to patient care and quality of service.

Summary:

Assist technologist, patient, and Radiologist during patient arrival and during exam in order to enhance throughput and expedite the best diagnosis to patient. Work with team to deliver quality care and be a contributing member of the team.

Responsibilities:

1.Greets patients, directs patient flow from waiting room to exam room. Has patient fill out proper forms relating to exam.

2.Evaluates patient prescription to ensure proper exam is performed pertaining to individual ailment and correlates to the scheduled order. Assist in obtaining corrected order when needed.

3.Assist technologist in ordering, changing, and completing all cerner functions.

4.Changes patient and prepares patient for procedure.

5.Performs exam with technologist and offers assistance to patient, technologist, & radiologist throughout entire procedure as needed and escorts patient out of department.

6.Uploads outside imaging and reports.

7.Assists with patient lay letters as needed.

8.Cleans exam room and dressing room following procedures and restocks exam rooms at end of shift.

9.Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired: Previous experience working hands-on with patients in a Radiology setting.
