24 bed Rural Community Hospital
15 providers Rural Health Clinic
72 - bed, high -level care, Advanced Assisted Living Facility
42 - apartment; low-moderate care level Assisted Living Facility

Job Summary:
Takes X-Rays utilizing X-Ray equipment including operation of c-arm and portable X-Ray equipment. Is responsible for patient safety protocols, patient safety including patient shielding. Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. Performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Education Background and Experience:
Minimum Education:
High School graduate.
Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
Required Licensure / Certifications:
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
DOH WA state license
Required Experience:
Radiologic Technologist (RT), R.T. (R) Credentialed in Washington State
Preferred Qualifications:
BLS certified preferred. Epic experience. Computed Tomography, DEXA experience
Professional Requirements:
Maintain regulatory requirements.
Report to work on time and as scheduled; complete work within designated timelines.
Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the mission, ethics and goals of the District.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing radiation therapy and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric and general population.
Responsible for safe handling of equipment; performs a pre-procedure check on all equipment; provides preventive maintenance.
Instructs and prepares patients for radiation therapy procedures.
Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
Reviews prescribed dosage of ionizing radiation for accuracy before all treatments
Practices medical and surgical asepsis at all times.
Observes patient reaction to radiation therapy; reports any patient changes to the radiologist.
Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
