Knapp Medical Center is an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital in Weslaco, Texas. With 227 beds, the community hospital specializes in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology.

Knapp serves as the only acute care hospital in the Mid-Valley area, as well as Weslaco's only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery. Knapp has been providing quality and compassionate healthcare to Mid-Valley residents for 60 years. More than 300 physicians serve on the hospital's medical staff.

Responsibilities

The Radiology Tech I performs Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations. The Radiology Tech I functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Participates in PI/QC activities. Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1.Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State. 2. ARRT-R is required. 3.

Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations. 4. Current BCLS (AHA). 5. Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES6.

At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred. 7. Proficient computer skills.
