Radiology Tech Assistant/Ukhc

Job Summary

This position focuses on the ensuring a positive patient experience and maintaining throughput in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT.

Without primary imaging responsibilities, the person filling this role is able to move freely throughout the area serving immediate patient needs, and is flexible to adjust and fulfill various clinical duties around the imaging area as they arise.This position performs a variety of direct patient care tasks associated with patients having imaging studies performed.

Duties include, but are not limited to, welcoming patients into the imaging area, assisting with prep for imaging exam, phlebotomy, contacting referring clinician's offices, performing patient calls, ensuring comfort of patients, stocking supplies, and assisting with room turnover.

In addition to these duties, this position will require DOT and radiation safety training specific to detecting, removing, or storing radiation waste.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Excel, customer service skills, willingness to learn, phlebotomy. Attention to detail, accuracy, computer literacy, sensitivity to patient privacy, healthcare or medical office experience.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

At least 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.
