Radiology Tech Aide

Full-Time, Second Shift

Job Description:

• Under general direction provides clinical and clerical support for Imaging Services using general skills of transporting, basic health screening, assisting and preparing patients through their Imaging Exams.

• Performs technologist aide duties include: Transporting, assist patient to dressing area and assist if needed, use two patient identifiers, instruct patient of protocol for undressing, report to technologist the patient is ready, assist technologist with cleaning of exam room, direct completed patients to the exit or transport back to original department.

• Assist technologists to prepare exam rooms between patients.

• Assists technologist with clerical responsibilities, relays information from patients or phone calls as instructed by technologists and management.

• Customer service and accuracy of information obtained are extremely important in this role.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Six (6) months experience in one of the following areas preferred:

a) Patient registration

b) Healthcare related clerical work.

• Current CPR Certification
