Position Summary:

The radiology patient access rep performs a wide variety of detail oriented duties in the process of arriving and registering patients in the radiology dept.

Location: 680 Centre Street, Brockton, MA

Department: Radiology Admin

This is a full-time 40 hour/ week position

Responsibilities:

• May be called upon to schedule patient appointments.

• Uses independent judgment, ingenuity and is self-motivated.

• The duties require knowledge of procedures and policies related to the Radiology Department and functions as a team player.

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.

• Must have excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.

• Schedules appointments for imaging and other procedures as assigned.

• Checks for payers' prior-authorization requirements, validates active coverage.

• Manages incoming phone calls in a positive professional manner.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Technical/Other:

Education:

Experience: 1 year experience in medical or customer service working environment, radiology experience preferred. Medical Terminology

Certification/Licensure:

Software/Hardware: Nextbar, Evicore and Meditech experience preferred.
