Radiology Aide - FT Evenings

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Radiology Aide works as an integral part of the Radiology healthcare

team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient

care is delivered. He/she works under the direct supervision of the Modality Operations Manager and Clinical Supervisor. The Radiology Aide is responsible for assisting registered and licensed Radiology Technologists and/or other Radiology staff as instructed during routine procedures such as lifting, transporting, and directing patients in and out of the Radiology suite(s) and performs housekeeping duties within the department.

A. Job Knowledge and Skills:

o Demonstrates proper use of equipment and supplies according to established procedures.

o Assures equipment is maintained in safe and proper working order.

o Adheres to department/hospital policies and procedures in performing duties and assignments.

B. Education:

o High school diploma or equivalent education.

C. Qualifications:

o Neat and clean appearance.

o Able to communicate effectively; verbal and non-verbal communication skills important.

o Willingness to initiate communication/conversation with patients and families.

o Satisfactory references

o Certification and maintenance of certification in CPR course B - Adult and Pediatric Heartsaver.

o Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of infant, child, adolescent, adult, older adults patients required/preferred.
