Primary Responsibilities:

  • Appropriately adapts assigned client assessment, treatment and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific and other developmental needs of each person served

  • Performs a variety of quality radiology procedures using utilizing CR equipment

  • Correctly formats images, prints films/CD, and sends to the PACS

  • Processes, logs and tracks over-read reports and film/CD requests from outside providers

  • Provides radiation protection to patients and staff, consistent with current State Department of Health standards and regulations

  • Maintains supplies, checks equipment status daily and reports any problems that could change the workflow

  • Maintains all equipment and paperwork in compliance with TDH standards and regulations as coordinated through the Radiation Safety Office

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or other accepted and approved equivalent

  • ARRT registered and MRT certified by the State Department of Health

  • Meet continuing education requirements to maintain credentials at all times

  • Licensed by the State Department of Health in which employed and meet continuing education requirements at all times

  • 1+ years of experience as a radiology technologist

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a radiology clinic preferred with focused experience performing x-rays

VIEW JOBS 9/29/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-28T00:00 <p>Per Diem</p><p>Shift: Weekends</p><p>TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><ul><li><p>Perform and process X-Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation.</p></li><li><p>Unload portable X-Ray equipment and take into facilities to perform exams ordered by the physician. Must obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent x-ray images.</p></li><li><p>Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation. (if required)</p></li><li><p>Scan exam related paperwork/billing documents on a daily basis per protocol.</p></li><li><p>Regularly communicate with dispatch and management.</p></li><li><p>Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.</p></li><li><p>Maintain vehicle and x-ray equipment.</p></li><li><p>Radiological Technologists, in certain instances, may use film to process images when DR/CR equipment is not functioning or available. Radiologic Technologists processing film should be familiar with the possible chemical hazards, controls, and the first aid response in the event of skin contact, ingestion, eye splash or spill, as detailed in the Safety Data Sheets (SDS).</p></li></ul><p>REQUIRED SKILLS:</p><ul><li><p>Maintain required State licenses and/or ARRT Certification, health requirements, and operational requirements.</p></li><li><p>Valid driver's license in the applicable state and in good current standing at all times.</p></li><li><p>Attend meetings as required.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate regular attendance - refer to the Attendance &amp; Tardiness Policy.</p></li><li><p>Connect and disconnect Holter Monitors. (if required)</p></li><li><p>Technologist must care for their equipment in a professional manner.
