Responsibilities

Join an amazing team at a nationally recognized Top Place to Work in Healthcare! As a Rad Tech with Urbandle Urgent Care, you will perform the following:

Clinical Imaging:

Accurately perform diagnostic exams of patient as requested by provider using proper imaging techniques.

Provide proper education of procedure to patients, their family, and others as needed.

Employ proper radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.

Practice sterile techniques and prevent cross-contamination to patients.

Perform quality control activities on imaging equipment to ensure optimum image quality.

Verify that an annual and successful inspection is performed by a Radiation Physicist.

Lab:

Perform phlebotomy duties and process/package specimens according to protocols.

Collect and prepare specimens for point of care testing.

Record and document laboratory results for each performed test. Retain records for the required length of time in a secure location.

Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and work area according to policy and procedure.

Perform quality controls within laboratory using standard laboratory test and measurement controls.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. Must pass ARRT examination/registration in striving for self-improvement within twelve months of employment if new grad.

• Must have a current Iowa permit to practice.

• Current ARRT registration and must maintain ARRT registration.

• High school diploma.

• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.

• Knowledge of clinical skill techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.

• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

• Prior lab experience preferred, but will train into role.
