Under general supervision, operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations used for diagnosis and treatment. Provides appropriate patient care, develops film and instructs radiology students as needed.
Variable Shifts. Must be available to cover shifts during normal business hours on day, evening and weekends
Employee Work Location: Johns Hopkins Imaging - Columbia
Work requires completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program. Registered or registry eligible. Must be licensed by State of Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance as a Medical Radiation Technologist.
Preferred 3-6 months diagnostic radiology experience. Requires skill in performing radiologic examinations, both routine and semi complex. This required level of skill would be acquired during three to six months of related experience.
Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required. CPR certification required with three months of employment.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed
