Overview:

Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a technically accepted level. Assume responsibility for procedures performed.

Communicate with patients, families and other employees in a caring, friendly manner. Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum, graduate technologist.

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

  • Licensure: Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification or equivalent, and active registration in Radiography. Credentials must be in good standing by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

  • Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.

  • Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

    Proficient at performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Possess good communication and patient care skills. Self-motivated, with a positive attitude.

    Working Conditions, Mental and Physical

    Requirements:
    This individual must be capable of: manipulating x-ray equipment, including mobile and other equipment; carrying cassettes; selecting and manipulating exposure factors; evaluating radiographs; lifting, moving, and transporting patients; continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to stressful situations; communicating effectively. Equipment Used: Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, image processing, and computers.

Overview: Perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to supply prescribed sonography examinations for radiographic diagnosis. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Report to the Ultrasound Supervisor. Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capabilities as determined to be adequate by the Department Head. * Required Education: Satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology program and/or equivalent college level program. * Certifications: Registered or registry eligible in OB-Gyn and Abdominal Sonography, with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. * Other: Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: This individual must be capable of: Manipulating Ultrasound equipment, including mobile and other equipment; evaluating ultrasound images; lifting, moving, and transporting patients; continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to stressful situations; communicating effectively. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 20 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: Acuson Sequoia.
