Radiologic Technologist needed right outside of San Francisco, California!

Full-time and Part-time positions are available! 4pm-12:30am or 5pm-1:30am shift TUE-SAT & Sunday-Thursday 6am-2:30pm.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform and process X-Rays and submit/transmit them for interpretation.

  • Unload portable x-ray equipment and take to patients bedside to perform exams ordered by the physician. Must obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent x-rays.

  • Must be able to obtain clinically diagnostic EKGs and transmit for interpretation.

  • Check, complete, and deliver paperwork related to the exam and the patients billing information; retrieve copy of face sheet and deliver paperwork to company as directed

  • Sign-off physicians order for x-rays as completed.

  • Enter patient demographics in computer workstation and scan films, and transmit them to the reading center. Resend films as directed.

  • Regularly communicate with dispatcher to report status and location.

  • Deliver films to facilities or doctors office when requested.

  • Maintain vehicle and x-ray equipment.

  • Observe company driving safety, corporate compliance, and other business and administrative procedures.

  • Observe patient rights and confidentiality.

  • Treat customers and patients with respect, dignity, and confidentiality.

  • Accurately record hours worked and deliver timely to manger.

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have and maintain current clinical licensure, if required by state/ ARRT certification.

  • Must have and maintain valid a state issued Drivers License.

  • Must have and maintain a good driving record.

  • Communicate efficiently and perform professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.

  • Pass a drug screening and criminal background check.

  • Self motivated, dependable, and work independently with little to no direct supervision.

The MRI Technologist Trainee learns the safety, customer service skills, documentation and operation of MRI through on-the-job training under the direction of an MRI registered technologist. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: * Conducts pre-screening of all personnel before entering the magnet room to ensure their safety. * Scans and documents patients under the direction of an MRI registered technologist to meet all customer requirements. * Completes all documentation and paperwork for each patient to ensure all customer, Alliance policy and Joint Commission requirements are met. * Maintains current credentials required to work as an MRI technologist. Position Requirements * High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred; Successful completion of a Radiology School required. * Continuing education of the structure component to the MRI exam required. * Certified by ARRT, ARMRIT (as allowable by customer contract), NMTCB or ARDMS required; ARRT (MR) preferred. * State issued Radiologic Technologist License required, if applicable. * CPR Certification required. * Valid state driver's license required, if applicable. * Successfully demonstrate proficiency running advanced MR studies independently preferred. * Technical proficiency using GE 1.5T or other designated vendor scanning equipment preferred. * Possession of venipuncture certification, or ability to secure within 3 months, if required by customer/contract preferred. * Local travel may be required. Physical Requirements: * The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit. The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease. * More than 50% of the time: * Sit, stand, walk. * Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs. * See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients. * Less than 50% of the time: * Stoop, kneel or crawl. * Climb and balance. * Carry and lift (ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
