Perform radiologic procedures and assists physicians and radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Responsible for special procedures, angiographic procedures, as well as related quality control monitoring and data recording as assigned.

Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures. Ensure high quality images are produced. Responsible for availability and sterility of equipment and supplies used for assigned areas.

Arranges patients for radiological examinations. Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Sciences; advanced registry in Interventional Radiology preferred.
