Overview

Concentra, one of the largest health care companies in the nation, has an opening for a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist ( must be willing to assist with Medical Assistant duties as needed).

Unique to Radiologist Technologist roles with other organizations, Concentra will empower you to learn and perform a variety of facets in medical care. Not only will you manage diagnostic x-ray examinations and produce x-ray images for interpretation by licensed practitioners, but you will also get to support and directly perform other routine medical procedures and assist the back office team.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • A valid and current license by the state in which employed, if state offers a licensing certification program

  • Valid and current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have valid and current registration with an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)

What You Will Do As our Sonography Technologist, you will be part of a great team, which helps saves people's lives, as the images that you take help to diagnosis, treat, and cure many people with diseases or life-threatening illnesses. You will: * Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams. * Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures. * Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures. * Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations. * Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. * Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). * Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. * Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. * One or more of the following: * Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. * Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date. * Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
