Summary:

The Lead of Radiology and CT will oversee all aspects related to clinical services, procedures and staff. He/She will work closely with the Manager of Imaging Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, along with Manger, performance standards for X-ray and CT technologists including the areas of technical skills, competencies, professional behavior, safety, communication and management.

  • Facilitates communication between departments.

  • Works with the manager to see that maintenance is performed on all clinical equipment and that all equipment is within specifications for proper, accurate and safe operation.

  • Ensures quality images are obtained by all technologists and ensures protocols are followed as outlined by the radiologist.

  • Leads by example in all aspects of performance and behavior.

  • Assists management and Medical Director in the drafting and development policies for operating equipment.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in all diagnostic examinations.

  • Provides oversight, direction and clinical education of technologists.

  • Oversees training or in-service reviews for technologist as needed and ensures clinical competency of all technologists

  • Maintains safe and proper work environment in clinical setting.

  • Conducts annual evaluations and oversees competencies for X-Ray and CT Technologists

  • Monitors and maintains PACS records, reconciling inaccuracies and coordinating with PACS Team.

  • Responsible for protocol management in CT and X-Ray

Other Information:

Licensed as Radiologic Technologist Required. Possess CT Registry.
