Summary

Radio and Communications Technician I - Hiring Rate: Tech I Up to $$70,375.65, D.O.E.

The role involves providing support with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of radio, VoIP, and cellular systems. This includes programming and troubleshooting two-way radios, SIP Phones, and mobile devices. Additionally, the position will oversee the deployment, management, and support of the city's mobile device management systems.

Radio and Communications Technician II - Hiring Rate: Tech II Up to $73,894.43, D.O.E.

The role involves providing support with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of radio, VoIP, and cellular systems. This includes programming and troubleshooting two-way radios, SIP Phones, and mobile devices. Additionally, the position will oversee the deployment, management, and support of the city's mobile device management systems including related researching and project planning.

Qualifications

Tech I

EXPERIENCE:

• One year of experience in the field of Radio Communications with FCC and FAA tower rules and regulations.

Tech II

EXPERIENCE:

• At least three years of experience in the field of Radio Communications with FCC and FAA tower rules and regulations.

Tech I/II

EDUCATION:

• Associate degree in engineering technology, Radio Communications, or Computer Science (bachelor's degree preferred)

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License with a good driving record

• One or more Motorola or industry standard technical certifications preferred.

• CompTIA Security+; and one or more Motorola or industry standard technical certifications preferred.
