80% FTE, day shift. Hours can vary but typically 8:30AM - 5:00PM. You may be eligible for up to a $4,000.00 sign-on bonus. You will be working at University Hospital/Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, WI with occasional float as needed to Eastpark Medical Center.

Work Schedule:

80% FTE, day shift. Orientation schedule of 7:30AM - 4:00PM for 8-12 weeks, then you will transition to later shift of 8:30AM - 5:00PM most days. Shift can vary based on patient census. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:

  • External hires may be eligible for up to a $4,000.00 sign on bonus.

We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to:

  • Use the most up-to-date linear accelerators and CT simulation systems including: TrueBeams, Tomotherapy, and our MRI-guided treatment machine ViewRay; as well as simulating patients in accordance with prescription and instruction of the radiation oncologist.

  • Become a part of our fun, family-oriented, supportive team as we welcome our radiation oncology expansion with the opening of our new Eastpark Medical Center in fall of 2024, eventually to include Protons!

  • Perform routine, complex, and specialized work as well as integration and administration of new technology..

Education:

Minimum

  • Graduate of a School in Radiation Therapy Technology

Work Experience:

Minimum

  • No related work experience required.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • Certified as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • CPR certification

  • UW Health's new state-of-the-art ambulatory facility will transform the patient experience and offer cutting-edge proton therapy. This 469,000-square-foot ambulatory facility will house many specialties, including women's complex care, adult cancer care, advanced imaging and laboratory services and innovative clinical trials. It will be located across from East Madison Hospital on Eastpark Dr. and is slated to open in fall 2024.
