Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada has an exciting opportunity for a Radiation Therapist to work at our Summerlin location in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians in their fields while providing care to patients in a successful health care organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.

  • Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record. Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.

  • Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.

  • Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.

  • Accurately makes custom molds.

  • Accurately completes simple MU calculations.

  • Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.

  • Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.

Minimum 3 year s experience actively practicing as an RTT. ARRT certification required.

Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.

The Division of Child and Family Services is actively recruiting for a Psychiatric Nurse II position to actively participate on a multidisciplinary team providing nursing care for children at DESERT WILLOW TREATMENT CENTER (DWTC) located in Las Vegas. DWTC is a 20 bed psychiatric hospital accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations that provides mental health treatment for children age 12 to 17. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. Work responsibilities include: providing professional nursing care to mentally ill and/or mentally and physically ill or disabled individuals; planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care delivered to adolescent clients; identifying patient mental and physical health care needs and make comprehensive clinical evaluations; providing input and recommendations regarding nursing care and services; initiate and carry out therapeutic, educational, social, and physical care activities; administer medications as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for medication side effects and/or allergic reactions; monitor patients for safety; document client observations and the effectiveness of planned program activities. Will ensure DWTC maintains a safe, healthy and therapeutic environment for our patients, and nursing care objectives are met in accordance with the nursing association professional standards of practice and consistent with DWTC policy. DESERT WILLOW TREATMENT CENTER (DWTC) operates 7 days per week, 24 hours per day with three shifts. Due to this there are a variety of available full-time work schedules.
