GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Delivers therapeutic radiation and patient care services as prescribed by physician.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs patient simulations. (20%)

  • Delivers prescribed radiation treatment. (50%)

  • Assesses, supports, and educates patients according to specific department guidelines. (10%)

  • Maintains medical records for treatment delivery, charge entry and quality assurance in accordance with regulatory and departmental guidelines. (15%)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required including, but not limited to, mentoring employees/students and participating in department and organizational initiatives. (5%)

  • Compliance Requirement: As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times. In connection with this, all employees must comply with both the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as described in the Notice of Privacy Practices and Privacy Policies and Procedures as well as all data security guidelines established within the Company's Handbook of Privacy Policies and Practices and Information Security Policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(T) in good standing or board eligible (must complete certification within 1 year of hire)
  • CPR certification
