Custodial Supervisors plan, organize and direct the overall custodial and general building maintenance services for assigned facilities consisting of offices, classrooms, conference areas, special event centers and other facilities.
This position is located within the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) of the Department of Health and Human Services - Desert Regional Center (DRC) in Las Vegas, NV. Incumbents supervise custodial workers, including making assignments, ensuring coverage, conducting inspections, evaluating staff, preparing reports, providing training, and other duties.
Incumbents provide regular cleaning of residential homes and other campus buildings and fill in for staff as needed; oversee purchases of supplies and ensures team has all that is necessary, both supplies and equipment; provide minor repairs and maintenance to custodial equipment; and supervise and assist maintenance in furniture moves, office moves, and other duties as necessary. The position requires physical strength and mobility. Working conditions vary as work is required both inside and outside buildings. Travel up to 50% may be required.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of building custodial and general building maintenance work, one year of which must have included lead experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Requirements A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required.
Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Additional Position Experience Inventory and supply management experience is required.
