ROLE SUMMARY

The Floating Production Operator is responsible for performing any combination of the following: prepares processes, inspects, and packages commodities and/or finished product. Monitors and responds to basic functioning needs of area equipment, i.e. line speed, feeding product, line clearances, loading or unloading materials. This person is expected to adhere to all SOPs, cGMPs, plant quality, safety, housekeeping, and documentation systems requirements. The Floating Production Operator must become certified on all R2 production lines within one (1) year.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to perform various functions of a highly repetitive nature while maintaining concentration of task.

  • Must adhere to all gowning/uniform requirements in assigned area.

  • Must be able to keep accurate records and production logs, as well as complete batch records as required.

  • Must be able to process, inspect, and/or package commodities thru various processing stages.

  • Must be able to operate minor assembly type machines in or out of clean room type environment.

  • Must be certifiable as a controlled drug agent (CDA) with on-site training provided.

  • Must become certified as production operator on all R2 production lines within one (1) calendar year.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to comprehend and respond to verbal and written instructions/plant documents.

  • Ability to maintain concentration while performing repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to work independently or in groups effectively.

  • Ability to cross-train on several production lines.

  • Ability to work overtime as required.

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Stand up to 8-12 hours per shift, twist at waist 20 times per hour, regularly lift up to 35 pounds per activity 20 times per shift, occasionally lift a maximum of 50 pounds per activity 10 times per shift, occasionally may lift over 50 pounds with assistance, walk, climb stairs, climb ladders/walk on catwalks, repetitive use of upper extremities.

  • Use computer terminal 2 hours per shift, respond to visual warning indicators, respond to audible indicators, respond to color or special visual indicators, work around moving equipment, work on knees occasionally, wear specialized protective clothing, wear PPE (safety shoes/glasses/etc.), work in hot or cold environment, work in hearing conservation area.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Floating Production Operator role. Primarily will work 7pm-7am nightshift schedule. May require OT and work on non-scheduled days given production.

This position must adhere to all SOPs, cGMPs, and plant quality, safety, and documentation systems requirements. Other related duties essential to these operations or special assignments as required. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES * Read and interpret detailed blueprints and schematics * Operate small hand and power tools in a safe manner. * Follow oral and written instructions. * Work effectively with various levels of employees. * Learn department and company policies and procedures * Work independently with minimal supervision as required. * Ability to understand changeover, adjust, PM, and repair manufacturing equipment. * A working knowledge of basic mechanics, drive systems, and lubrication principles * Ability to work safely with electrical and electronic principles. * Ability to use a voltmeter to test for power presence. QUALIFICATIONS * Knowledge of the general trades: i.e., construction, electrical, machine shop. Knowledge of basic mathematics. * Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). * Must know general shop safety practices including handling and storage of potentially dangerous equipment. * Ensuring adherence to all plant safety rules in area of responsibility. * Previous Aseptic Filling or Isolator Filling experience preferred. * Manufacturing experience/ Manufacturing Maintenance or Machine Set up preferred but not required. * High School Diploma/GED Required.
