We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Proposal Engineer (Aerospace) on a full time permanent basis.

The Senior Proposal Engineer (Aerospace) is accountable for the global design proposal process within the Aerospace Air Product design group and under the Design Authority of a Chief Engineer, reporting to the Director of the Air Product Value Stream. This role is responsible for managing proposal quality, adhering to customer schedule, and accurately providing engineering design and qualification estimates for the Air Product line. This role is also responsible for the successful influence of customer specifications during the early design phase.

This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Global Technology team, Air Product Line and will be located in Harbourgate (Portsmouth), United Kingdom or New Port Richey, Florida.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Act as the technical focal lead for proposals and sales inquiries. Responsible for OTD, compliance, and quality of a thorough technical proposal, including alternative design solutions when required. Manages all project design functions through order acceptance. Sets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or other targets for improvement of technical proposals.

• Knowledgeable in the design process, ultimately responsible for determining the verification and validation for design solutions by supporting preliminary technical calculations for filter performance, stress analysis and aerodynamics, with a strong ability to influence the specification early in the design process.

• Collaborates with the Senior Engineering Manager to provide an accurate estimate of the effort and cost required to complete the design process. Collaborates with sourcing, sales, and operations on all aspects of the design proposal to ensure a high-quality technical proposal that addresses design for manufacturing, and sourcing options.

• Work with Design Engineers, CAD designers and drafters to create strong technical proposal content, models, drawings and prototypes required for the proposal process.

• Collaborates with a Global customer base, and tailors' technical proposal for regional content.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

• Must have a proven background in aerospace design, new product introduction, or aerospace product sustainment.

• Must have an established background in leading project teams.

• Broad knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering with an advanced understanding of filtration and separation systems and Aerospace application use.

• Experience with Aerospace industry design standards and regulations and Aerospace best practices.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

• Understanding of Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools and how and when they should be applied.

• Relevant customer experience and skills working with a cross functional and cross departmental teams to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
