JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of mechanical or electro-mechanical materials, devices, assemblies, subassemblies, systems. and products.

Main Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas. Builds or assembles prototype materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies.

Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains and tests equipment, systems or products. Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Performs tests, analyzes data and writes reports.

Reviews or develops processing or manufacturing instructions. Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of development, testing and analysis. May assist in the transfer of technology and/or contribute in cross-functional discussions regarding device performance allegations.

Qualifications

H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 0-2+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination. Two-year degree or some college credits preferred.

Guidewire manufacturing experience is required.

(Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) Applies limited knowledge of basic technical concepts and practices and a basic understanding of product or systems fundamentals. Utilizes basic knowledge of numerical and/or statistical data and computer software programs to resolve routine problems.

Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.

(Cognitive Skills) Performs routine technical tasks working from detailed written or verbal instructions. Performs routine set-up, testing, repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of certain area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product. Assignments require limited judgment in troubleshooting proven processes.

Job duties may include Check In/Out, running social skills/behavior skill groups, monitoring a site-based Friendship/Reflection Room, mentoring, collecting data, push-in support within classrooms and corrective teaching. The Tier II Behavior Assistant will report to the Tier II SAPF and will participate in weekly collaboration regarding student progress.
