Position: Quoting/Pricing Specialist

Position Summary

To deliver bottom-line impact by finalizing pricing by customer and by product based on the Delta targets and goals established by HEXPOL. To work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Sourcing, Technology, Operations and the Director of Pricing and Business Analytics to oversee the quotation/pricing process.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide quotations to external customers and to internal customers who in turn correspond with external customers.

• Work in conjunction with sourcing and other functional areas to achieve a competitive quote while maintaining acceptable margins.

• Monitor open New Product Inquiries (NPIs) and follow up with internal/external communication to ensure that quotes are processed within time constraints.

• Track and report length of time NPI remains in each functional area to Regional Managing Directors, General Manager/Managing Directors, and the Director of Pricing and Business Analytics.

• Identify and drive improvements for reduced quote cycle times.

• Work with Customer Service Representatives and Sales to understand why quotes are won or lost.

• Create pricing for all new compounds in relative Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

• Create pricing for all reactivated compounds in relative ERP systems.

• Review and update pricing for all recipe revisions in relative ERP systems.

• Support VAVE Project efforts to ensure that pricing is managed as projects are implemented

• Support special business analysis requests to facilitate decision making for the Company.

• Support contractual pricing updates in accordance with customer supply agreements.

• Support non-contractual pricing updates as needed as part of any general market price adjustment projects.

• Provide backup for others in Pricing and Quoting roles.

• Ensure reporting and communication is frequent and multi-directional.

• Respond to external and internal customer requests in a timely manner.

• Perform any other project/task assigned by Management.

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Technical, Finance or Business Management is desired. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.

• Five (5) years of pricing or quoting experience.

• Two (2) years' experience in the rubber industry or an industrial environment is preferred.

• Proven financial acumen with ability to understand key accounting profitability concepts and how they are measured.

• Strong ability to analyze and interpret common financial data.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). SAP experience is required.

• Solid organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage a broad range of responsibilities.

• High degree of concentration, attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.

• Ability to interact well with all personality types.

• Strong cooperation, collaboration, and team-building skills.

• Effective problem-solving skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
