In this role, you will develop Technical/Commercial Proposals for Multi Family Residential Projects in Electrification Distribution Solutions. This will require an in depth understanding of Mid Rise, Garden Style, High Rise and other Multifamily projects as well as local codes and contractor bid and buy processes.

Your responsibilities

• Develop timely, comprehensive and professional proposals with key metrics of proposal volume, on time delivery, hit rate/win rate and profitability

• Interpret Drawings, Data Sheets and Specifications to understand and adhere to design intent

• Utilize ABB's product configuration tools as needed

• Develop/Maintain relationships and aggressively negotiate with key vendor partners and internal ABB factories

• Interface closely with Sales Managers, Representative, Commercial Operations & Strategic Customers (as required) to develop understanding of CTQ's(Critical to Quality) of opportunity and to provide executable proposals

• Leverage breadth and depth of commercial operations team by collaborating with peers and manager

• Proactively suggest alternates and options (where possible) to reduce cost, improve value to customer and increase profitability

• Understand and address commercial factors such as project duration, project location and basic terms and conditions

• Aggressively pursue and attend any training opportunities that would provide benefit for quotations functions

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 4 years of experience in a contract negotiation or sales role)

• Minimum 5+ years of previous project quotations experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience working in the electrical distribution industry

• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
