Efficiently and productively performs vehicle maintenance procedures such as tire changes, oil changes, transmission flushes, and fuel injections.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inject grease into units, such as springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles, using hand or compressed-air powered grease gun.
Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles.
Check air pressure of tires.
Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
Spray leaf springs with lubricant, using spray gun.
Add water to radiator and battery.
Replace oil and air filters.
Sell lubrication and safety inspection services and maintain related records on regular customers, following up periodically with telephone, mail, or personal reminders.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of vehicle systems and technical resources.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record per company standards. Manual dexterity. Good judgment. Exceptional customer service skills.

This is a physically demanding position. May stand six to eight hours during a shift.
Will lift parts weighing up to 70 pounds. Will use spray gun. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel.
Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the environment is loud.
