We are currently accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator
This is a safety sensitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures.
Conduct a thorough safety pre inspection daily on equipment and fill out all required paperwork.
Responsible for knowing aggregate products.
Maintain a safe work area while loading haul trucks.
Able to estimate weight when loading trucks either visually or grade, maintain stockpiles.
Load customer trucks in a safe and accurate manner.
Load off road haul trucks in a safe and accurate manner while keeping up with primary crusher feed rates.
Load surge bins, hoppers, and feeders in a safe and accurate manner at max feed rates.
Communicate with customer truck drivers to ensure quality service.
Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic.
Daily preventive maintenance and lubrication of equipment
Prefer two years of heavy equipment experience.
Operate heavy equipment to maximize productivity and minimize wear and tear.
Perform manual labor in outdoors and all-weather conditions.
Other job duties as assigned.

The Excavator Operator is responsible for loading haul trucks in pit area.
Safe, effective utilization of equipment to load haul trucks, digging next to highways and sorting through oversize to give the primary crusher its spec material.
Maintain a safe work area while loading haul trucks.
Able to estimate weight when loading trucks either visually or grade, maintain stockpiles.
Load off road haul trucks in a safe and accurate manner while keeping up with primary crusher feed rates.
Load surge bins, hoppers, and feeders in a safe and accurate manner at max feed rates.

Position Requirements:
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience is a plus.
A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
Capacity to provide and follow directions.
Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
Ability to work extended hours, as required.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
Basic understanding of machinery operation and willingness to learn to operate heavy equipment.
Work on the off shifts and weekends.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Redstone Construction Group standards & processes.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
The work environment is consistent of an office and facility with construction equipment inventory and repair/service shop and may also include construction job site.
Noise levels can be loud.
Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area.
PPE must comply with site specific requirements.
Occasional lifting may be required up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping.
